A large restaurant, featuring a rooftop lounge, is coming to The Corners of Brookfield retail and apartment development.

The restaurant, Lake Country Social, will feature American cuisine using locally sourced ingredients and will lease more than 15,000 square feet, according to a Thursday announcement from IM Properties, co-developer of The Corners, and restaurant operator Rule No. One Hospitality Group.

It’s scheduled to open next summer. The menu will include what Madison-based Rule No. One calls “supper club classics,” such as fried walleye and perch, burgers, steaks, chops and seafood.

The bar will feature craft cocktails, beer and wine.

Lake Country Social will be between Café Hollander and Arhaus at The Corners, which is east of Barker Road between West Blue Mound Road and I-94.

It will be on three levels, with a main dining room, a lower level with more formal dining, and an open-air garden rooftop with a large bar and lounge area with fire pits.

Lake Country Social will be the first Milwaukee-area restaurant for Rule No. One.

The company, founded in 2016 by Patrick Sweeney, Joshua Berkson, Tom Dufek and Maddy Van Elzen, operates two Madison restaurants: Merchant and Lucille.

The Corners opened in 2017.

It is anchored by a Von Maur department store and features dozens of additional stores and restaurants, along with 235 apartments.

Silverspot Cinema is under construction and opens next spring, while additional work will improve the street layout.

Around 85 percent of the development’s retail space is leased, and the apartments are nearly 90 percent leased, said Kathryn Whitlock, a spokeswoman for The Corners.
