Whitewater rolls past River Falls
It was an easy knockout.
Cole Wilber threw two touchdown passes and ran for another as UW Whitewater, ranked No. 6 by D3football.com, rolled to a 44-7 victory over visiting UW-River Falls on Saturday at Perkins Stadium.
Alex Peete rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown for the Warhawks (7-0, 4-0 WIAC), who had a 31-0 lead over the Falcons (2-5, 1-3) at the half.
UW-Oshkosh 24, UW-La Crosse 13: Quarterback Kyle Radavich was 19 of 31 passing for 234 yards and two touchdowns and the 12th-ranked Titans downed the visiting Eagles.
The Titans (5-2, 3-1 WIAC) held the Eagles (4-3, 2-2) to 79 yards (1 rushing) in the second half.
UW-Stout 31, UW-Stevens Point 27: KeyShawn Carpenter rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns and the Blue Devils (4-3, 2-2 WIAC) held off the host Pointers (2-5, 1-3) on a snowy day at Goerke Park.
Carpenter’s 1-yard touchdown run with 11:23 to go broke a 21-21 tie.
UW-Eau Claire 40, UW-Platteville 16: The visiting Blugolds (3-4, 1-3 WIAC) scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Pioneers (4-3, 2-2).
Eau Claire quarterback Scott Proter rushed for a pair of touchdowns and threw for one.
Lakeland 38, Wisconsin Lutheran 12: Larry Rivers rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns to lead the visiting Muskies (2-5, 2-2 NACC) past the Warriors (1-6, 1-4) at Raabe Stadium.
Lakeland quarterback Charl’Tez Nunnery ran for 129 yards and passed for 88.
North Central 26, Carthage 14: Broc Rutter threw for 353 yards and three touchdowns as the 15th-ranked Cardinals (6-1, 5-1 CCIW) downed the Red Men (2-5, 2-4) at Art Keller Field.
The Red Men were held to just 184 total yards of offense and 39 rushing yards in the loss.
Concordia (Wis.) 45, Concordia (Ill.) 34: Aaron Nixon tossed three touchdown passes and the Falcons (6-1, 4-0 NACC) turned back the visiting Cougars (1-6, 1-3) at Tomasini Stadium.
Carroll 23, Lake Park 0: Preston Bell ran for 141 yards and a touchdown for the host Pioneers (3-4 , 2-4 CCIW) in a victory over the Vikings (1-6, 0-6) in the rain at Schneider Stadium.
Chicago 63, Beloit 0: Nick D’Ambrose rushed for 121 yards and two touchdown in 10 carries and the visiting Maroons (4-3,2-1 Midwest Conference) drubbed the Buccaneers (16,0-3).
The 63 points were the most Chicago had scored in a game since 1969.
