Team of the week

Wilmot: The Panthers took on the Southern Lakes’ best last week and won, defeating first-place Waterford, 75-56, Monday and avenging a loss to Badger on Friday to move ahead of the Badgers and into second-place in the league. Wilmot, which also defeated Burlington on Tuesday, got 24 points on 8 three-pointers from junior Julia Hickey in the victory over Waterford. In the 59-36 victory over Badger, seniors Haley Lamberson (12 points) and Riley Alexander (12) and junior Delaney Brown (10) reached double figures. Coming up

Milwaukee Madison at Milwaukee Golda Meir, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday: City Blue Division leader Golda Meir is closing in on the program’s second division title in three seasons.

Mukwonago at Arrowhead, 7 p.m. Tuesday: A Mukwonago victory gives it the Classic 8 title outright. A loss creates the possibility that it and Arrowhead will tie for the title for the second straight season.

South Milwaukee at New Berlin Eisenhower, 7:15 p.m. Tuesday: These teams won the Woodland’s East and West Division. The winner gets bragging right over the entire conference.

Milwaukee Washington at Milwaukee

King, 7 p.m. Thursday: The teams’ first meeting went down to the wire with King scoring a 49-44 road victory. Assuming the Generals beat Milwaukee Hamilton on Monday and Milwaukee Riverside on Tuesday, they’ll be able to clinch the Gold Division title for the sixth straight season with a win.

Sussex Hamilton at Germantown, 7 p.m. Thursday: Hamilton, which is tied for fourth in the Greater Metro, is the last legitimate hurdle for Germantown to clear for an outright conference championship.

Racine Lutheran at Shoreland Lutheran, 5:30 p.m. Saturday: Shoreland Lutheran needs a win to clinch the Metro Classic crown.
