Milwaukee’s Marcus Center will present “Hamilton” Oct. 22 through Nov. 17 as part of its 2019-’20 Broadway series, the venue announced Monday evening.

Milwaukee will host the second national touring company of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hip-hop musical, dubbed the “Philip” tour by its producers. Joseph Morales, a Hamilton alternate in the Chicago production, is playing the title role in this company.

The Marcus Center run will include 32 “Hamilton” performances. At this point, no individual tickets are on sale for “Hamilton” in Milwaukee. Current subscribers can renew their Broadway at the Marcus Center packages by calling (414) 273-2787 or visiting

All shows take place at the Marcus Center’s Uihlein Hall, 929 N. Water St. In chronological order, they include:

Disney’s “The Lion King,” Feb. 5March 1, 2020. The Elton John-Tim Rice musical, with its memorable parade of animals devised by director Julie Taymor, will be staged at the Marcus Center for the first time. The Marcus Center’s 2014 run was presented at the Milwaukee Theatre.

“The Play That Goes Wrong,” March 17-22, 2020. When a theater group tries to stage a 1920s murder mystery, everything goes wrong, hilariously. For fans of “Noises Off” and Monty Python.

“My Fair Lady,” April 14-19, 2020. Lincoln Center Theater’s new production of Lerner and Loewe’s classic musical.
