Racine County deputies estimate that more than $48,000 worth of marijuana was found in the home of Goran Ivic of Caledonia, who faces several drug charges.

After executing a search warrant at the home in the 4700 block of Douglas Avenue, deputies found 8.3 pounds of marijuana, 499 THC vape cartridges, a digital scale, other drug paraphernalia and a Quest card, according to a Racine County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Ivic, 38, was a convicted felon in New Hampshire, according to Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling, who expressed anger that Ivic was using food stamps during his alleged illegal activity.

“It should anger all of us that Goran Ivic, a convicted felon, is a recipient of the taxpayer funded ‘FoodShare Wisconsin’ program also known as ‘Quest,’ was busy selling thousands of dollars’ worth of illegal drugs to the very community who financially supports and feeds him,” Schmaling said.

The Sheriff’s Office referred the case to the district attorney and is recommending Ivic be charged with possession of THC with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and keeper of a drug house. He is being held on $60,500 bail.
