Milwaukee restaurants will celebrate Peach Week
If eating one of summer’s perfectly ripe, juicy peaches makes you want to celebrate, well, does Tree-Ripe Fruit Co. have an event for you: Its first Peach Week in Milwaukee continues through Sunday.
Tree-Ripe Fruit, formerly known as Tree-Ripe Citrus, is the company that brings Georgia peaches to Milwaukee and beyond in its refrigerated trucks.
Here’s how to get in on Peach Week:
July 10 — Peach dinner at the Diplomat, 815 E. Brady St., with the fruit incorporated into sweet and savory dishes and drinks. Dinner is at 7; it’s $50 a person, which includes four courses and beverage pairings. Reservations recommended, (414) 800-5816 or thediplomatmke.com.
July 10 — Peach dishes and fresh-peach samples at Maxie’s, 6732 W. Fairview Ave., 5 to 8 p.m.
July 13 — Fresh peaches, dishes and pairings at Story Hill BKC, 5100 W. Blue Mound Road, 5 to 8 p.m.
July 13 — A peach social at Palomino Bar, 2491 S. Superior St., with peach-soaked bourbon cocktails, peach ice cream, peach side dishes, pie from sister restaurant HoneyPie Cafe’s bakehouse and freshpeach samples. Fresh peaches will be for sale, as well; 4 to 8 p.m.
July 14 — Peach breakfast and brunch items at Blue’s Egg, 317 N. 76th St. and 4195 N. Oakland Ave., Shorewood, 7 to 11 a.m., as well as fresh-peach samples.
