Woman shot and killed near 13th and Orchard in Milwaukee
Milwaukee police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 45-year-old woman that occurred around 6 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of West Orchard Street.
Police are investigating the incident as a homicide, according to a news release.
Police are seeking an unknown suspect.
St. Francis Brewery appears to have closed for good
St. Francis Brewery, the first craft brewery and taproom to open in southern Milwaukee County, appears to be closed for good.
A sign on the door Saturday at the brewery and restaurant, 3825 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. in St. Francis, said it was closed and thanked customers for 10 years.
The brewery’s telephone recording hasn’t been changed to indicate it’s closed, however. Brewery representatives couldn’t be reached immediately for comment.
The restaurant and taproom drew crowds when Rick Michalski and his business partners opened it in April 2009 during the recession, in a 7,200square-foot building.
