Wholesale businesses have been mostly increasing their stockpiles in recent months.
Stockpiles held by U.S. wholesale companies rebounded in July, increasing 0.2% after dipping 0.1% the previous month. That followed increases of 0.4% and 0.8% in May and April, respectively. The Commerce Department is expected to report today that wholesale inventories rose 0.4% in August.
