Waukesha woman charged in heroin death
Father’s Day for a Waukesha family turned tragic after a woman was found dead in a Town of Brookfield motel, a man was found unresponsive and their 2-year-old child was wandering alone around the property.
Now, a Waukesha woman is accused of providing the heroin that resulted in the young mother’s death.
Latina N. Woody, 39, of Waukesha was charged Tuesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with first-degree reckless homicide with a modifier of being party to a crime. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.
Woody is accused of causing the death of Brianna Ilic, after selling heroin to her June 16.
Bradley A. Barnett, 37, was charged June 18 in Waukesha County Circuit Court with neglecting a child and possession of narcotics, both felonies, and resisting an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, in connection with the incident. A $2,000 cash bond was set.
