HOSPITALITY: Cafe Bavaria closing delayed

-

Instead of closing to the general public in November, Cafe Bavaria will stay open until Jan. 1, when it will close with a New Year’s Day brunch. Owner the Lowlands Group said in August that it would replace Cafe Bavaria in 2020 with the Northwoodsthemed the Buckatabon. Cafe Bavaria, 7700 Harwood Ave., was going to remain open for private parties through the end of the year regardless, but now it will continue to be open daily. The Lowlands Group is bowing to customers’ requests to keep Cafe Bavaria open through the holidays for gatherings. Those interested in an auction of the restaurant’s décor can sign up for the group’s email newsletter at

lowlandsgroup.com/lowlander. The Buckatabon still is projected to open in February.
