Brewers plan for full capacity at American Family Field on June 25.

- JR Radcliffe

Just two days after announcing American Family Field would return to 50% capacity by Saturday, the Milwaukee Brewers announced Thursday that the stadium would be back to full fan capacity starting Friday, June 25.

"It's great news not only for our fans and for all our stadium workers, but obviously this is great for the community, great for other businesses that are opening up as well," said Rick Schlesinger, the Brewers president of business operations. "It's great for the psyche and morale of our community as we see great numbers on health measurements, which is obviously the genesis of the announcement today by the mayor."

The city of Milwaukee announced it was lifting limits on gatherings and softening the mask-wearing mandate beginning June 15. The Brewers will open a fresh six-game homestand June 25 beginning with matchups against the Colorado Rockies.

It won't be a complete return to normalcy. Schlesinger said fans still will be expected to wear masks when not eating or drinking, and walking vendors won't yet return to the seating bowl. The club previously announced that two loge-level sections would remain set aside for socially-distanced seating, with six feet between seating pods, when the venue moves to 50% capacity Saturday, and those sections will remain after the move to 100%.

The Brewers are scheduled to play 19 home games at 50% before the jump to full.

“I think for anybody in baseball, and even for the fans, the anticipation of hopefully summer games here in full stadiums, it's exciting to think about, that's for sure,” Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Thursday.

Effective immediately, partial- and full-season ticket packages are available by calling 414-902-4487, and group ticket packages for all games will be available at 414-9024777 or at brewers.com/groups.

Single-game tickets for games through May 27 are already on sale, and at 8:30 a.m. Friday the club will announce details about single-game tickets and the promotional schedule through the rest of the season.
