Betty Z. (Nee Zinzow) Trombetta passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022, at the age of 98 in West Bend, WI.

Betty was born on October 20, 1923 in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin. She was the loving daughter of Albert and Viola (Fenner) Zinzow. She was united in marriage to Guido P. Trombetta on July 23, 1963. Betty was a proud United States WWII Army Veteran. She became the President of the Trombetta Corporatio­n in Milwaukee, which is an industry-leading engineerin­g and quality DC Power products manufactur­er after her husband Guido passed at an early age. Betty was a board member of the Salvation Army in Milwaukee for 20 years and was the last living Charter Member of American Legion Post #448, the first all-women’s Legion in Milwaukee.

Betty is survived by her sister, Verna M. (Walter) Thompson; nieces, Judy (Grant) Wiswell, Nancy (Jake) Jacobson, and Chris (Dale) Hetrick; nephews, John (Holly) Zinzow, James (Cathy) Thompson, and Jerome (Betty) Thompson; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guido; siblings, Kenneth (Dorothy) Zinzow, Marvin (Gwendolyn) Zinzow, and Shirley Mae (Harold) Dain; nephews Marvin “Marnie” Zinzow and Michael (Patricia) Zinzow.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM, with the Memorial Service at 12:00 PM, at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend. Private interment will take place at Estabrooks Cemetery in Fond du Lac, WI at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Cedar Community or the Salvation Army would be appreciate­d.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Cedar Community, Cedar Hospice, and the Cottages for the care and compassion they showed to Betty.
