John had a strong work ethic. After 44 years of loyalty and hard work, he retired from Briggs and Stratton. John was the ultimate family man and provider. A selfless helper, John was happiest when he put the needs of others ahead of his. John was a mentor and enjoyed volunteering for which he received the Friends of Education award. As a grade school storyteller and book reader, John was lovingly referred to as, “Grandpa John,” by children who would swarm him for spontaneous hugs when seen in a grocery store or at church.
John’s family would like to extend a gracious thank you to the staff at Horizon Home Hospice for their special touches and compassionate care, as well as Auberge at Oak Village for their tender loving care.
