14 fun kids birthday party places in Milwaukee

Looking for a fun place to host a birthday party for your kids in the Milwaukee area?

Here are a few good choices.

Milwaukee County Zoo

10001 W. Blue Mound Road, Milwaukee

A birthday party at the zoo includes up to 15 people (with the option to add people for an additional cost) in a private room for 90 minutes, where guests can do their own activities, have animals brought into the room to meet, and have either their own birthday cake or food that is bought separately through the zoo. The package includes admission to the zoo for each guest for the entire day. Optional addons include Animal Encounter experience­s and train or carousel rides.

Racine Zoo

2131 N. Main St., Racine

At the Racine Zoo, there are several different sites that can be reserved for birthday parties that accommodat­e between 16 and 100 people depending on the site. Birthday parties include two hours at the location, a 6-foot table for food, cake and gifts, as well as tables, chairs and picnic tables. Food can be brought to the party, and zoo admission for each guest is included with the packages. Add-ons for an additional cost include live animal programs, crafts, story times and goodie bags, as well as space heater and grill rentals.

Milwaukee Milkmen

7044 S. Ballpark Drive, Franklin Groups of 10 or more can enjoy a birthday party at a Milwaukee Milkmen game. The package includes game tickets, a group gift, an autographe­d baseball, the birthday child's name on the scoreboard (as well as an in-game birthday shoutout) and a group photo on the field.

Wehr Nature Center

9701 W. College Ave., Franklin Birthday party packages at Wehr Nature Center include up to 10 party guests (with the ability to add extra for an additional fee). The three-hour parties are arranged around a nature theme, which includes activities and hikes led by a naturalist. For example, in the Reptiles and Amphibians party, guests will meet snakes, turtles, toads and amphibians, take a hike and do a take-home craft. Guests also have time for gift-opening and refreshmen­ts in the party room. Food can be brought from home, or a birthday cake and drinks are included in the more expensive package.

Party packages include up to 20 kids for 2.5 hours in the party area, including 75 minutes of themed activities led by staff. There are many themes which the birthday child can choose, although some of them are dependent upon which park the party is held at. For example, fishing and canoeing parties can only be at Washington Park. Some themes available at any of the three parks include scavenger hunts, eco-art and fun with physics. 1500

Pettit National Ice Center

W. 500 S. 84th St., Milwaukee Birthday party packages at the Pettit are typically available in November through mid-March. Packages include skating admission, skate rental and

the use of the Pettit party zone for 10 people for one hour. All packages include a soft drink for each person and depending on the package, either popcorn, a hot dog and chips, or a pizza slice and cookie.

Incredi-Roll

10928 W. Oklahoma Ave., West Allis This roller-skating rink has party packages for 10 kids (with the option to add kids for an extra fee). All packages include a party table for the whole skating session, birthday song and announceme­nt of the birthday child's name, admission and skate rental for each guest, two sodas per guest and two baskets of popcorn. With more expensive packages, parties can also include treat bags, pizza and a game of laser tag. The rink also has the option for private parties for up to 50 guests during times when public skating isn't available.

Springs Water Park at the Ingleside Hotel

2810 Golf Road, Pewaukee

There are three birthday packages of various prices available for purchase at the waterpark. Based on the package you buy, between nine and 20 kids can attend the party (with between two and four adults). Each package includes one hour in a private party room and a birthday cake and beverages. Two packages also include meals for guests. The least expensive birthday package includes two hours of swim time in the waterpark, and the most expensive birthday package has four hours of waterpark time.

Stonefire Pizza

5320 S. Moorland Road, New Berlin The New Berlin restaurant is a kidfriendl­y site of all-you-can-eat pizza, desserts, arcade games and activities.

The base party package is for eight kids (extra kids can come for extra admission) and includes 90 minutes in a party room hosted by an onsite party host who will lead games, tie balloon animals and perform magic tricks. Each child will also receive pizza and drinks, and points to play games and do activities.

Chuck E. Cheese

19125 W. Blue Mound Road, Brookfield

2990 S. 108th St., West Allis 2701 Chase Ave., Milwaukee

There are several levels of birthday party packages available (including some that let you have the place to yourself if you're willing to have an earlymorni­ng party on a Saturday or Sunday).

The base package includes a twohour party time, a decorated and reserved table for the party, two slices of pizza and drinks for each kid and points to play games. The more expensive packages include perks like unlimited points to play games, free tickets to redeem for prizes, Dippin' Dots ice cream and goody bags.

Monkey Joe's

2040 W. Blue Mound Road, Waukesha

The place is filled with inflatables and games. Party packages can be reserved for groups between eight and 24 kids and include two hours in a party room with a party host, a gift for the birthday child and drinks for everyone. Depending on the package, pizzas and other treats can be added.

The Big Backyard

2857 S. 160th St., New Berlin

The Big Backyard, a year-round indoor playground in New Berlin, has several party packages available. Packages typically include two hours divided between a private room and the play area. Food can either be brought in from outside, or hot dogs, snacks and drinks can be bought onsite. Depending on the package, between eight and 24 children are included. Or, there's an option to rent out the whole place for a private party of up to 60 guests.

Tosa Block Party

10600 W. Blue Mound Road, Wauwatosa

This store is dedicated to Legos. Birthday party packages include 2 hours of use of the entire facility when kids (and adults) can use the bricks to build to their hearts' content. Packages include up to 15 children (with the ability to pay extra for additional kids) and the use of a party table. Groups can bring their own food and cake or have Tosa Block Party cater with pizza, snacks and custom-made cupcakes and cookies. Available add-ons include things like a cup of bricks to take home and a buildyour-own Minifigure.

La Terraza

11520 W. Blue Mound Road, #2, Wauwatosa

At this paint-your-own-pottery location, birthday party packages include a party room for two hours for at least six kids. The session includes time for painting of pre-selected pieces led by an instructor, and time for any food, cake, gifts or activities the birthday family brings with them.
