PERRSYBURG - Ruth Marie (Zynda) Gill On Tuesday, May 22, at the age of 95, Ruth went to meet the Lord and reunite with her beloved husband, Eddie, who she was married to for 63 years. Devoted mother of Mary Beth (Dennis) Bialecki and David (Rayna) Gill. Loving grandmother to Michelle (Bobby) Shiels, Amy (Cliff) Canales, Huxley and Remy Gill. Proud great-grandmother of Mazie and Kenzley Zepeda. Dear sister of the late Myron (Sheila) Zynda. Sister-in-law of the late Anne (Peter) Lemanski and James (Jane) Gill. Ruth went to Beauty Culture School and worked as a hairdresser in her aunt’s beauty shop. She loved her Milwaukee Brewers, but her true calling was volunteering. She started a Girl Scout troop at St. Alexander School, and also loved helping and cheering for the Daley Debutantes, a baton and drum parade corp to which her children belonged. But her heart went out to her parish, St. John Paul II, where she was Christian Mother President, a Eucharistic Minister, and held so many other volunteer positions. Later in life, she enjoyed being the activity director of Hillcrest Senior Home. Her enthusiasm for her residents showed, whether she was dancing a polka or taking them on a trip to the State Fair. Ruth was quite a “trooper” moving to Ohio in her 90’s to be closer to her children and grandchildren who she loved dearly. Visitation will be at ST. JOHN PAUL II PARISH, ST. ALEXANDER CHURCH (1568 W. HOLT AVENUE, MILWAUKEE WI 53215) on Friday, May 26 From 10:00 - 11:00. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery. Coyle Funeral Home, Toledo, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
