Joanne “Joan” Rae Catarozoli (nee Wolff )

GREENFIELD - Joanne “Joan” Rae Wolff Catarozoli passed away peacefully on August 11, 2023, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family and friends. Joan was born in West Allis on January 12, 1931, as the middle of three daughters born to Earl and Grace Wolff. She graduated from Nathan Hale High School.

On August 6, 1949, she married the love of her life, Ernesto “Ernie” Catarozoli and they were fortunate to enjoy 74 years of loving marriage filled with timeless memories. Joan and Ernie built their home in Milwaukee and raised their three children there. She was so proud of the home she created, and their door was always open to family and friends.

Joan was an enthusiast­ic shopper and loved finding the best deals. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, playing bingo and slots. She loved the Florida sunshine and she and Ernie spent many winters together there. Mostly, she valued her lifelong friendship­s and cherished time spent with family.

Joan is survived by her devoted husband, Ernie; her children: Kent (Jean) Catarozoli, Dr. Scott Catarozoli, Kristin Church; grandchild­ren: Carri (Dan) Busse, Kelly Catarozoli, Ryan (Kaylin) Catarozoli, Chad Catarozoli, Kevin (Caitlin) Catarozoli, Brianne (Shaynen) Barthuly, Brett (Victoria) Catarozoli, Alyssa Catarozoli, Alec Catarozoli, Blake Church, Mason Church, Megan Church and many wonderful great grandchild­ren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law James Tomasello and sister-in-law Mary Catarozzol­i. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Grace Wolff; and sisters Phyllis Artabasy and Ruth Tomasello. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 8500 W. Coldspring Rd. from 10:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org, a cause she cared deeply about.
