NEW BERLIN - Manna, Laurie J. (nee Mershon) Passed peacefully on August 15, 2023 at the age of 66, after a courageous 20 year battle with Parkinson’s. She is finally free and reunited with the love of her life and late husband, Rick.

After graduating from Germantown High School, Laurie established her life within the Menomonee Falls community. She loved working with children, and combined with her kind and compassionate nature, formed a long and meaningful career as a preschool teacher at Children’s Community Center. Along with teaching, she turned her hobby and enjoyment of floral artistry into a second career as a florist, showcasing her creative and fun spirit.

As a couple, Laurie and Rick loved hosting parties and spending time with their family and many friends. They fulfilled their dream of retiring on the water in Punta Gorda, Florida and often could be found sipping Rick’s famous margaritas on their prized pontoon boat, which we know they are already enjoying together again.

Laurie is survived by her mother, Frances Mershon, her children, Jenna Harris, Justin (Annette) Harris and Alex (Mairead) Manna-Harrington, her brother, Rich Mershon, and her cherished grandchildren Adalae, Wesley, Ethan and another baby girl on the way. She is further survived by many extended family and friends. Laurie is preceded in death by her father, Richard D. Mershon and her brother, John Mershon.

Laurie touched many lives and her generous heart and warm smile will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be Friday August 25, 2023 at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls from 3pm until time of memorial service at 6pm.
