Dr. Simplicio “Jimmy” Go

BROOKFIELD - Simplicio Kho Go, fondly known as Jimmy, passed away on August 20th, 2023, in Brookfield, WI, with his beloved wife of 57 years, Anita Siu Kim Go, at his side. Born on November 20, 1940, in Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental, Philippine­s, to Nemisio Go and Kho Un Muy, Jimmy’s early life was marked by challenges. Losing his father at a young age, he was raised by his mother alongside his older sister and brother. Breaking barriers, he became the first in his family to pursue higher education, ultimately becoming the first Chinese president of the Far Eastern University student government. Upon earning his medical degree, he and Anita immigrated to Milwaukee, WI in 1967. Jimmy completed his internal medicine residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital. His contributi­ons were particular­ly remarkable as an emergency room physician and the esteemed medical director of several nursing homes. He loved playing tennis at Highlander Racquet Club, where he proudly hosted Jimmy Go Open tournament­s. His humor was legendary, inducing uproarious laughter that left everyone breathless and in tears. His dance moves were a sight to behold, captivatin­g everyone who watched. Jimmy’s cherished legacy endures in the hearts of his beloved wife, Anita, and their three children: Audrey Go, Angelica (Chris) Ha and Adam (Hanni) Go. He is survived by six adoring grandchild­ren, his sister Soledad, his brother Bonifacio (Belen) Go, and a multitude of nieces and nephews who carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Victoriano Sy. Visitation to honor Jimmy’s memory will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 10 am to 12 pm at Becker-Ritter Funeral Home in Brookfield, WI. A service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will follow at 12 pm, also at Becker-Ritter Funeral Home. As a tribute to Jimmy’s love for gathering, light refreshmen­ts will be served during the visitation. To honor his memory, in lieu of flowers, contributi­ons can be made in his name to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wauwatosa, WI or to the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus, DCJ, Northern Province in Wauwatosa, WI.
