James M. “Jimmy” Borkowski

Born to Eternal Life on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the age of 52 years.

Beloved father to Jessica and Aaron Borkowski. Son of Evelyn Borkowski (nee Rossa) and the late Daniel Borkowski. Brother and hero to Susan (Tim), the late David (Tina), and Teresa (Mike). Nephew to Uncle Rich (Annette) Borkowski and Aunt Marion (the late Ted) Janusz. Adored uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friend and brother to countless more.

Jimmy was raised in Milwaukee, where he graduated from St. Thomas More High School. He went on to bravely serve in the Milwaukee Police Department for over 26 years, retiring in 2015.

Jimmy valued family above all else, citing his late brother and firefighte­r David Borkowski as his hero Jim’s dedication to helping others did not stop in his lifetime; he chose to be an organ donor upon death, further aiding those in need.

Jimmy loved all things outdoors, spending quality time in the family cabin in Lake Tomahawk as well as fishing and hunting. Jimmy also loved spending time with his significan­t other Donna and her daughter Aspen.

In lieu of flowers, Mass Intentions at the Basilica of St. Josaphat would be gratefully appreciate­d.

Visitation Wednesday, November 8 at Rozga Funeral & Cremation Services - Rozga-Walloch Chapel (4309 S. 20th St, Milwaukee) from 4:007:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 9 at 10:00 AM at the BASILICA OF ST. JOSAPHAT (601 W. Lincoln Ave) (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
