WEST BEND - Doug Sholund, 76, passed away on June 2, 2023, in Venice, FL. He was a kind, smart, and generous husband, father, grandfathe­r, and friend. Doug loved his work as an Executive Roundtable Chairman with TEC/Vistage and was the longest-tenured Chairman in the world. He had a passion for economics and finance, earning his PhD from Purdue University and the designatio­n of Chartered Financial Analyst. He also had a deep appreciati­on for nature and enjoyed motorcycli­ng, camping, and hiking.

Born in Atlanta, GA, Doug attended St. Margaret Mary in Neenah, WI, for his primary education and later graduated from Neenah High School. He further pursued his education at UW-Madison, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree, followed by an MBA from UW-Milwaukee.

Doug was a dedicated member of the Brown Deer United Methodist Church, where he found solace and community. He cherished his time spent there.

In addition to his successful career and love for nature, Doug valued his family and friends above all else. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela (Waller-Occhetti) Sholund, his children Kendra (Mark ) Heerey, Nicholas Sholund, Kristina Sholund Wedemeyer, Paul (Kristin Cibik) Occhetti, Zachary Sholund, and David Occhetti. He was preceded in death by his son Steven Occhetti, his first wife Wendy (Spafford) Sholund, and their son Todd Douglas Sholund.

A ceremony to honor Doug’s life will be held at Brown Deer United Methodist Church on November 16, 2023 at 4:30 pm followed by a reception at the Four Points Sheraton. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons can be made to the Brown Deer United Methodist Church or The Cedar Community.

Doug Sholund will be remembered as a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfathe­r, and friend. His kind-hearted nature and willingnes­s to help others made a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
