TEAM OF THE WEEK

Snowstorms across the area on Tuesday and Friday caused widespread postponements and cancellations last week. Nevertheless, there were still a few notable finishes to highlight. Wisconsin Lutheran ended De Pere's 42-game winning streak dating back to March 12, 2022, on Saturday, winning 70-68 on the road. Kon Knueppel had 38 points to lead the Vikings, who have now defeated the reigning WIAA Divisions 1 and 2 state champions over the last month. Grafton defeated Germantown 60-52 on Saturday as well, handing the Warhawks just their second loss. Michael McNabb Jr. (22 points) and Juan Guerrerro Hernandez Jr. (17 points) led the scoring for Grafton. Waterford also solidified its standing atop the Southern Lakes Conference with a 67-66 win over Westosha Central. Jamison Beesley drew a foul with 0.3 seconds remaining in a tie game and converted one of two free throws to give the Wolverines the win. The victory improved Waterford to 5-1 in the Southern Lakes, while Westosha Central fell to 4-1.
