MILWAUKEE - Pat Ulman passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024. She was 87 years old.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Theodore “Teddy” Ulman. Together, they shared a blended family and were devoted to their 7 children. Pat, a third generation Oak Parker, had three children: Greg (Karen) Blackaller, Chris (Norah) Blackaller, and Mary Blackaller ( John) Freeman. Teddy, a native Bostonian, had 4 children: Karen Ulman, Janet Ulman, Jeffrey Ulman, and Linda Ulman (Bertney) Langley. They had four grandchildren: Hannah ( Jeff) Butler, Lindsey Blackaller, Eleyna (Anthony) Landry, and Eli Langley.

Pat was born to Gerald Jensen and Nettie Mae Kerley and grew up with sister Barbara (Bill) Blecher in Oak Park and Chicago, Illinois. She lost her father at an early age and gained step-father Walter Bogacki in her teens. After earning a nursing degree in 1957, she lived in Mexico for the first three years of her marriage to Jorge Blackaller and then returned to Oak Park. Later in life, she earned a master’s degree in public health. She was an occupational health nurse for most of her career. While working at Playskool, she met Teddy. They married and later moved to Milwaukee in 1989.

Pat and Teddy created a wonderful life together and enjoyed a model retirement. They had a great love for Milwaukee, where they had many friends and engaged in many organizations. They traveled extensively across the world and even survived a coup while visiting Nepal.

No memorial service is planned. We encourage all who wish to to give to the charity of your choice and to enjoy an ice cream cone in Pat’s honor.
