Janice “Jan” L. (Pepin) Handrich
RIPON - Janice “Jan” L. (Pepin) Handrich, age 75, of Ripon, WI passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024.
Janice was born March 15, 1949, to Edward and Claudia (Baker) Pepin. While Janice was a nanny for Rudolph and Sylvia Handrich’s granddaughter, Sue, she met their eldest son Rudy who was home from Vietnam. On April 26, 1969 she married Rudolph “Rudy” Handrich in an intimate courthouse wedding in Milwaukee, WI. Shortly after getting married, Janice received adult baptism and confirmation in the Lutheran Synod. She was a dedicated stay at home mother raising their three children (Fredrick, Tracey, and Christina) and once the kids had reached high school age, she then entered the workforce. Jan was very proud to have worked for the Kohl’s corporation. Jan was the proud grandmother of 3 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 2 step great-grandchildren.
Jan was always willing to talk to people and would make friends wherever she was. She loved her coffee clutch time with her girlfriends and was always willing to go visiting. Jan was always willing to help people out, and she would lend you her shoulder to cry on. Jan would have your back if you needed support, she was a loving, and generous person.
She is survived by her children, Fredrick (Elizabeth) Handrich, Tracey (John) Bakken and their son, Martin, and Christina (Manuel) Garcia and their children, Ricardo and Alejandra; step-grandchildren, PJ, Lisette and Daniel; step great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Angel; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Claudia Pepin; her husband, Rudolph Handrich; sister, Nina Engen; and a brother, Edward Pepin, Jr.
Visitation for Jan will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
A memorial service for Jan will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. You may view a livestream of Jan’s service at 12:00 pm by visiting www.ButzinMarchant.com. Inurnment will take place at Union Cemetery in the township of Union, WI at a later date. A memorial is being established in Jan’s name.
