THE FACE OF HOSPITALITY WITH A PURPOSE
THE BARTOLOTTA RESTAURANTS
The Bartolotta Restaurants will celebrate a big anniversary in 2018, marking 25 years since the opening of their first location, Ristorante Bartolotta in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Since then, the company has grown tremendously and has established itself as the premiere restaurant group in the Greater Milwaukee area. In fact, the name “Bartolotta” has become synonymous with fine dining and memorable experiences. What many people may not realize is the broad-reaching impact this family-owned company has on our community. The company now employs over 1,000 people throughout its 23 various locations in the Milwaukee area, and supports countless local vendors, creating a big impact on the city’s economic growth. With a focus on exceptional food and hospitality, the restaurant group essentially paved the way for the culinary scene we now enjoy, and helped to put Milwaukee on the map at a national level. The Bartolotta Restaurants understands its purpose in the community as being much larger than just operating restaurants. The heart of this family-owned company is in the dedication its employees feel to the community and each other. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the employee-led nonprofit called Care-a-lotta which has given more than $1 million to community nonprofit since its inception and hosts a fully funded and staffed gala event to one local charity every year. Co-owners Joe and Paul Bartolotta believe strongly in the notion of guiding the company through value-oriented principles. They have laid out five tenets of operation for the company, starting with taking care of each other, guests, community, vendors and then profit - the belief being that if they succeed with the first four, the fifth will follow. It seems that the equation is working.
