Mil­wau­kee Mag­a­zine or­ga­nized at Bastille Days in July. Pe­tu­nia (Tu­nie for short), so re­laxed that she dozed off dur­ing her crown­ing, faced fierce com­pe­ti­tion, in­clud­ing a Frenchie dressed in a striped shirt to match his owner's. Con­tro­versy arose over Pe­tu­nia's per­ceived cute­ness ad­van­tage as a puppy, but owner Paige Smith, a nurse, feels con­fi­dent that all the dogs got a fair shake. “The peo­ple voted,” she says.
