Ziroli Giant Scale Plans Supermarine Spitfire Mk I–V
Designed by Nick Ziroli Sr., this giant-scale Spitfire set of plans consists of four large sheets clearly illustrating the model’s structure as well as the installation of retractable landing gear and functional scale flaps. All the basic structures and flying surfaces are made out of balsa and plywood, and use conventional modeling tools and materials.
The building techniques are similar to other Zirolidesigned warbirds and are straightforward—easily accomplished by anyone with some previous model-building experience. The set includes separate instruction guide and building notes on the plan sheets as well as full-size templates for all the required parts, allowing you to cut a complete “kit” before you start construction.
