INSTRUMENT LENSES

Adding small details to your scale aircraft gives it that extra personal touch. One such detail is adding cockpit instrumentation that looks like the real thing. The first step is to visit your local craft store and pick up some “wiggle eyes.” They come in assorted sizes and work great for the instrument lenses. Remove the eye from the lens, and install your paper instrument in its place. Now add it to your cockpit’s instrument panel. Need some instrument faces? Type in “aircraft instruments” into your Internet browser to find the photos you’re looking for, save them, and then resize and print to the scale needed.
