SECOND SAFETY KILL SWITCH

- Danny McDaniel, Murfreesboro, Tennessee

For safety reasons, you should always add a kill switch to any airplane powered by a gas engine. It’s also a good idea to add a servo-operated kill switch so that you can shut off your engine during flight if needed. You can do this with a standard automotive twoposition on/off toggle switch. Find a small plastic cable anchor strap, and attach it to the toggle and the clevis for the pushrod used to shut off the engine. I usually use the gear switch.
