Amazing Avenger

-

Brian Brannan of Selma, North Carolina, had a great time at the event with his Grumman TBM Avenger. It was built from Charlie Kellogg plans by Donald Webber of Goldsboro, North Carolina, and was the very first model built from these plans. It spans 108 inches and is powered by a Brison 5.8ci two-stroke gas engine. The model is painted with automotive PPG paint, and it features retractable landing gear from Sierra Giant Scale. The model has operating bombbay doors, a torpedo drop, and a rotating rear gunner’s turret. Brian says the all-up flying weight is 50 pounds.
