“Guil­lows” is a name that needs no in­tro­duc­tion. It’s one many mod­el­ers have come to know and trust as the source of some of the most pop­u­lar kits pro­duced over the last 75 years. Well-known for their clas­sic de­signs, the folks at Guil­lows are still hard at work to­day laser cut­ting some of their most fa­mous WW I kits. This is the first Guil­lows ad ever to grace the pages of Model Air­plane News. It ap­peared in the Fe­bru­ary 1933 is­sue.

If, over the past 50 years or so, you’ve or­dered from a mod­el­ing cat­a­log, chances are that you’re fa­mil­iar with Amer­i­can Hobby Cen­ter—it re­mains one of the most well-known names in the in­dus­try to­day. This is its first ad, which ap­peared in the Novem­ber 1945 is­sue of Model Air­plane News.
