USEFUL MIXES
THROTTLE-TO-ELEVATOR MIX:
This helps the plane maintain a straight downline. Most planes will try to right themselves as they build up speed while traveling downward. This can be avoided by mixing in a little down-elevator to be applied automatically when the throttle is at a low power setting.
THROTTLE-TO-RUDDER MIX:
This mix helps the plane fly straight at full throttle and especially on a vertical upline. You’ll likely need to mix in a small amount of rudder input when the throttle is at full.
Rudder-to-elevator or rudder-to-aileron mix: This is especially helpful in dealing with control coupling, and makes it easier to keep the model flying a straight line during knife-edge flight. To figure out what to program in, fly your plane in knife-edge. If it pulls offline toward the canopy or the landing gear, you need add a rudder-to-elevator mix. If the model rolls to the right or left when rudder is added, you’ll need a bit of rudder-to-aileron mix.
