DECISIONS, DECISIONS

-

Today, many commercially available smoke systems use a separate battery source to control the smoke-pump unit. I recommend these types because they don’t draw current from your receiver battery, and the volume of smoke that is produced can be easily controlled via your computer radio.

While I have not used all of the smoke systems that are commercially available, I have tested and have used successfully several of them over the years. My personal favorites include the SmartSmoker from Tejera Microsystems Engineering (TMJ), the PowerBox smoke pump, and the Skywriter from Sullivan Products.

?? ?? Here, a TME smoke pump has been installed on my 40-percent Extra 260. This pump is held in by two screws and is firmly secured next to the smoke tank.
