TWIN-CYLINDER SETUP

-

While using a twincylinder engine with two mufflers, a T-fitting is required for the pump to supply fluid to both mufflers. I attach neoprene line from the T-fitting to each exhaust header via a tap that’s secured to the header using JB Weld. Neoprene line withstands the heat better than standard gasoline line. Note that using a check valve will prevent muffler pressure from pushing fluid backwards through the smoke pump when the pump is in the “off” position. I use gasoline tubing from the pump to a T-fitting and neoprene line after the T-fitting. The check valve is located between the tank and the T-fitting.

?? ?? The smoke line coming from the pump is attached to both a check valve and a T-fitting. After the line is attached to the T-fitting, both ends of the neoprene line are attached to the exhaust headers on my Desert Aircraft 170cc twin. If you are using a single-cylinder engine, this step won’t be necessary.
