Being landlocked in the city didn't stop Lynn and Josh Toskovich from making their master bath feel like a seaside getaway. Designer Lauren Leiss helped bring the vision to life, but it took tearing the room down to the studs. Horizontal wood planks cover the walls in shiplap and simple white cabinetry with bin pulls give the space a charmingly cottage feel. Sea-glass-color floor tile underscores the mood. Sandcolor countertops top the white cabinets. Black iron light fixtures, mounted directly on the mirrors, and polished-nickel hardware add contrast and sparkle, respectively. Now, John says, the bright, welcoming room is “a nice way to wake up.”
