Dr. Steven Zatz has been named CEO of health information provider WebMD. He replaces David Schlanger, who is leaving the company after more than three years at the helm.
Zatz, 59, the company’s president since 2013, has been a senior executive with New Yorkbased WebMD and its predecessor companies for nearly two decades. He is responsible for the company’s advertising and sponsorship business, which makes up about 80% of its total revenue, according to the company. Zatz will retain the title of president.
