Dr. Jonathan Ringo has been promoted to president and COO of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, part of LifeBridge Health. He has served as interim COO since January, replacing Amy Perry, who left to serve as CEO of the hospital division and senior VP of integrated care delivery at Atlantic Health in New Jersey.
Ringo most recently served as VP of clinical transformation at LifeBridge, where he oversaw population health, medical informatics and ambulatory quality. Before joining LifeBridge in 2014, Ringo was director of population health information at Northwell Health, based in New Hyde Park, N.Y.
Dr. Chad Whelan was promoted to president of Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill. He succeeds Wendy Leutgens.
Whelan most recently was senior VP and chief medical officer of the medical center. He joined Loyola in 2009 as a professor of medicine. He also previously served as associate chief medical officer for performance improvement and innovation at University of Chicago Medicine.
Joe Koch has been named CEO of Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Ky., and president of Fleming County (Ky.) Hospital, effective May 22. Both facilities are part of LifePoint Health.
Koch has served since 2008 as CEO of Bourbon Community Hospital, Paris, Ky., also part of LifePoint. Koch previously was VP and COO for six years at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, W.Va., which he helped transition to a LifePoint facility in 2006.
Kelly Linden has been named CEO of Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Calif. She replaces Kerry Carmody, a former Providence executive who came out of retirement to serve as interim CEO.
Linden has served for the past four years as executive VP and COO of St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, Calif., also part of Providence St. Joseph Health. During her tenure, she oversaw construction of a new hospital.
Bob Ritz has been promoted as CEO of Mercy Health Network, based in West Des Moines, Iowa, effective July 1. He succeeds Dave Vellinga, who is retiring.
Ritz has served since 2013 as president of Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, the system’s main hospital. Previously, he was president and CEO of St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill., for five years.
