Dr. Anthony Shih has been named president and CEO of the United Hospital Fund, a healthcare research and philanthropic organization based in New York City, effective Aug. 14. Shih succeeds James Tallon, who led the organization for 24 years.
Shih is currently executive VP of the New York Academy of Medicine, an institution that works to promote health and well-being for people in urban areas. Previously, he was executive VP of programs at the Commonwealth Fund and VP of strategic planning and chief quality officer for IPRO, a national organization that provides services to improve patient outcomes.
