The cries for help about the overwhelming amount of information are becoming more clear, and the need to develop solutions is becoming more clear. The problem isn’t the EHRs—the problem is too much information, and it’s going to take algorithms and computers, it’s going to take software analyzing the data to help us process it. Because of the (clinician) burnout issues, you are also going to see more and more places working to improve the way technology is being used to accomplish processes that used to be done one way, fixing things that are dysfunctional or not at their best.
