Ascension Texas

has purchased closed medical providers and clinic locations that were formerly affiliated with Rockdale, Texas-based Little River Healthcare and plans to reopen them Jan. 8. The announcement said the deal includes specialty and primary-care clinics across central Texas, but did not name locations, with the exception of a former Little River clinic in Temple that had been known as King’s Daughters Clinic. Ascension did not respond by deadline to a request for additional details, including which clinics will reopen or the purchase price. Ascension also signed a letter of intent for Allegan Healthcare Group to join Ascension Michigan. The independent, not-for-profit organization includes 25-bed critical-access hospital Allegan General Hospital and Allegan Professional Health Services.
