Under Nevin’s leadership, the Newark, Del., system continues to exceed financial and quality goals. Nevin oversaw expansion of Christiana’s access points, including more virtual care. She also led internal efforts to focus on health and wellness, such as launching a Center for Provider Wellbeing to help address clinician burnout. In 2016, Christiana earned the John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Award for an information technology program that integrates medical and behavioral health data in real time. In the past three years, women earned 83% of job promotions across the system.
