You help us serve you better
Welcome to the new MH. This is the first issue of our redesigned magazine, which is fulfilling our promise made 45 years ago. Last year sparked both panic and ingenuity across the healthcare industry. For us, that meant taking a closer look at how we best serve our audience.
Each issue of MH will include more counsel on how you can best accomplish your jobs as an individual leader, member of a team and as part of your organizations. Our award-winning reporters will bring you thoroughly researched features that objectively examine the trends, challenges and solutions within the industry. We’re also inviting our readers to participate more in the magazine with thought leadership pieces and through our conferences, webinars and other events.
We’re already seeing how you make us better. In this issue, Michael Brady’s story on the importance of creating effective government relations capabilities in hospitals stemmed from an executive conversation we hosted on addressing social determinants of health. Ginger Christ’s story on how best to position a transformed post-acute industry came from sources within the most affected facilities. You’ll also learn from WakeMed CMO Dr. Chris DeRienzo, who was one of our Top 25 Emerging Leaders in 2018. We asked him to provide a snapshot of how high-performing teams have endured the pandemic. His advice goes beyond healthcare, and resonated with me as a newsroom leader.
Our partnerships with you help us provide the most accurate reading on what’s happening in your world. We’ll continue to bring you useful advice and applicable examples to foster your professional development and the success of your organizations. You help us serve you better.
Of course, you can still expect Modern Healthcare to provide you the news and analysis you rely upon at ModernHealthcare.com.
Our hope is that the two channels, plus our conferences, webinars, podcasts and video series will provide you with a comprehensive opportunity to do what you do best: improve the business of healthcare.
Thanks for your readership.
