Top 25 Emerging Leaders

The past few years have been shaped by uncertainty in healthcare. Organizations working to respond to the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have encountered new concerns.

For those still relatively early in their career, any trials can be especially destabilizing.

But this year’s honorees for Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Emerging Leaders have risen to the challenge. Members of the class of 2023, all of whom are age 40 or younger, have made their mark by mentoring their peers and launching innovative ventures. Some have addressed social determinants of health in their communities, created programs aimed at connecting patients with care or taken the reins to improve quality scores at their organizations.

Others have worked to address burnout among colleagues or to net savings for their companies through imaginative process overhauls.
