Tekashi 6ix9ine can’t leave prison early, judge rules

-

A federal judge denied the rapper’s request that he serve out the remainder of his 24-month sentence on home confinement or in a halfway house. The once flamboyant rapper, whose legal name is Daniel Hernandez, filed a motion earlier this month, saying he fears for his life in the facility where he is currently housed because he believes that incarcerated gang members will seek retaliation for his testimony against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. But Judge Paul Engelmayer stood by the decision he made at Tekashi’s Dec. 18 sentencing hearing.
