If you live in Monterey County District 2, I hope you'll be voting for Glenn Church for Supervisor. My husband and I have had the pleasure of getting to know Glenn as a neighbor, local tree farmer and author. Glenn gets our vote because, as a longtime resident of north Monterey County, he understands and shares the concerns of local residents, has practical plans, and is very available to discuss issues. One example: Many of us live on heavily wooded land with expanses of dry grasses. We take making our properties more fire-resistant seriously. But our efforts are complicated by, among other things, county rules on dead tree removal. A deceased tree! That should be an easy call. But, no. Glenn has plans to better manage our tree and land situations. Besides this, Glenn will work with the Board and County to improve water management for our area, and direct more funds to north county (which has paid much but received not so much) for needed services. It's time for a change!
