Monterey High School lights

Monterey High School deserves to have lights and expanded facilities for play fields. The project was stopped by a handful of people who moved into the community to retire near a school and now are preventing our children from having the athletic and play fields that are commonplace throughout the region and country.

It is high time we stop letting a handful of grumpy people who fear change veto good things for our community. Monterey High Schools should have lights. My hardworking twosport son should get to play under the lights at his own school before he graduates. This behavior must be treated for what it is, anti-social and anti-community. Please join me in condemning this NIMBYS and curmudgeons and embracing this small change that will improve the lives of so many Monterey residents and children.
