Voting for Kate Daniels

-

With Kate Daniels on the ballot for District 5 Supervisor, we have an exceptionally qualified candidate. She would bring broad and directly related experience to the office, having had significant positions in both the public and non-profit sectors, at local and state levels. In practice, that means she would step into office ready to go, already well up the learning curve in knowing how to serve her community. Results oriented, Kate would arrive in office prepared to apply her characteristic energy to understanding and fixing problems for us. I have found her approachable, ready to listen, and willing to respond in a forthright and open way. In many ways the job of Supervisor is a thankless one. I respect Kate's willingness to take on the task and dedicate herself to serving us. She has my vote and I hope yours.

Rarely do we have the opportunity to vote for such an extraordinarily qualified candidate as Kate Daniels. She will bring to the Board of Supervisors not only her intimate experience as a lifelong resident of the Monterey Peninsula but extensive knowledge of the 5th District and Monterey County as a whole.

She understands the range of issues that arise because of her experience as chief of staff to Supervisor Mary Adams. As a current member of the Planning Commission she is well versed in affordable housing, water management, general development and environmental issues. She also knows the intricate role a Supervisor has with local, state and federal agencies because of her work with Sen. John Laird. She is skilled at bringing resources and people together to address problems with intelligence, efficiency and practicality. — Priscilla H Walton, Carmel
