We are incredibly honored to have Raquel as a volunteer at our Mae C. Johnson Education and Cultural Enrichment Academy. Raquel represents the meaning of service, drawing from her background in the Army, Raquel endlessly empowers and inspires our older students. Despite the challenges of working with older children, Raquel approaches her role with unwavering determination and compassion. Her background has equipped her with invaluable leadership skills, allowing her to navigate even the most difficult situations with grace and resilience. Through her mentorship and guidance, Raquel has become a strong figure of hope for these young individuals, instilling in them a sense of purpose and direction. Her unwavering commitment to their growth and well-being is truly admirable, and her presence at our after-school program serves as an example of the transformative power of dedication and service.
