1970 BARRACUDA CONVERTIBLE: 383 2-BBL, AUTOMATIC WITH C16 CONSOLE AND MANUAL CONVERTIBLE TOP, EF8 GREEN

Mopar Muscle - - Greetings From The Grave -

What can you say about this car and the couple who owns it that hasn’t already been raved about on our social media pages? Kimberly and Tommy Cook’s was one of my favorite reveals of all time. Kimberly and Tommy reached out to me about restoring their family heirloom: a ’70 Barracuda convertible that Kimberly’s father left to her. As a tribute to her father and knowing how much he loved the car, she wanted to be sure the car was restored the way he would’ve wanted. Which is why she called on Graveyard Carz. When the stakes are this high, I’m always so proud to see our team meet and exceed the bar. Painted in beautiful PPG basecoat/ clearcoat, the factory EF8 Ivy Green Metallic was stunning when finished. We had the Cooks out for the unveiling, as they hadn’t seen the car finished yet. Watching this build and reveal will truly soften your heart. This aired as a special episode between seasons four and five, but on Wikipedia it’s classified as season four episode 14, “How to Cook a Barracuda.” To this day, Kimberly and Tommy take their cherished treasure to car shows and local cruiseins whenever the weather permits. They’ve won multiple trophies and hearts with this great car and their touching family story.
