CTE students of the month revealed for Feb.
The Clare-gladwin Regional Education Service District’s Career & Technical Education program has announced its Students of the Month for February.
Clare-gladwin CTE provides what was previously recognized in local high schools as vocational education or skilled trades training, according to a press release from Claregladwin Regional Education Service District.
CTE offers that training to juniors and seniors at high schools in Beaverton, Clare, Farwell, Gladwin and Harrison in many diverse career fields, including Automotive Technology, Culinary Arts, Construction Trades, Health Occupations, Advanced Integrated Manufacturing, Digital Media, Welding Technology, Education Occupations, Criminal Justice and Agricultural Science. Students learn valuable professional and personal skills that help prepare them for life after high school, whether it’s in college, the workforce or both
The following students were selected by teachers for positive performances in their respective CTE classes:
• Advanced Manufacturing: Cal Woodbury of Gladwin
• Agricultural Science: Alexander Wargo and Alina Scott of Farwell
• Automotive Technology: Lee Risch of Harrison and Lukas Newman of Gladwin
• Construction Trades: Johnathon Vyskocil of Farwell and Antonio Basilisco of Beaverton
• Criminal Justice: Kaden Flansburgh of Beaverton and Devin Null of Gladwin
• Culinary Arts: Audrey Wilkes of Clare and Michael Kirby III of Harrison
• Digital Media: Ethan Rowland and Sara Blumerich of Harrison
• Education Occupations: Jazmyn Wiley of Farwell and Hailey Clark of Harrison
• Health Occupations: Kayla Augustine of Beaverton and Seth Jackson of Harrison
• Welding Technology: Kolten Gordert of Beaverton and Logan Ashcroft of Harrison
CTE Students of the Month program recipients received by gift certificates which were donated by sponsors who support the program. Sponsors include Buccilli’s Pizza of Clare and Farwell and Hungry Howie’s Pizza of Gladwin.
