Two area residents die over weekend
One electrocuted, one killed in crash; both in Midland County
A 66-year-old Coleman woman was electrocuted on Friday and a 54-year-old Beaverton woman was killed in a traffic crash on Saturday, Midland sheriff’s officials said in a news release.
In the first incident, deputies and medical rescue personnel were sent to a Geneva Township home where family members had found the woman dead.

Sheriff’s personnel were assisted at the scene by the Midland County Medical Examiner, Coleman Fire Department and Mid-michigan EMS.
In the second incident, a 54-year-old Beaverton woman was driving westbound on US-10 east of M-18 in Jerome Township during heavy rains about 4 p.m. Saturday.

Haus was transported to Mid-michigan Medical Center in Midland, but was pronounced deceased later that day.
She was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash and the front air bag had deployed in the vehicle.
